Curtis Parsons

Mr. Curtis B. Parsons, age 80, of Sandersville, passed away Tuesday, October 08, 2019 at Heritage Inn Nursing Home.  A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Zeta Cemetery.  Reverend Danny Thomas will officiate.

Mr. Parson was born in Bay City, Michigan, the son of the late Dwight Parsons and Ferolyn Nesbitt Parsons.  Curt graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in journalism.  Curt was a former high school teacher for Hancock County and a local media specialist.   He spent many years working for WSNT as a radio announcer and reporter.  He retired from The Sandersville Progress where he was a writer and news reporter.  He was a member of Tennille Baptist Church. His favorite hobby was gardening.  He is preceded in death by a sister, Karen Arnold.

Survivors include his brother, Neal Parsons of Dayton, Nevada; sister, Linda Parsons of Ventura, California; and beloved and loyal friend, Wynelle W. Brantley.
