Darryl Woods

Darryl Woods, age 64, of Sandersville died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday, January 28, 2022.  A family memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, February 1st at 4:00 p.m. at the Woods residence at 764 Laurel Drive in Sandersville.

William Darryl Woods was a lifelong resident of Washington County. He began his life's working career as a painter in maintenance for Thiele Kaolin Company.  Later Darryl owned and operated Darryl Woods Painting and Pressure Washing.  He possessed a passion for firearms, hunting, and fishing and he loved the outdoors. Shooting pool was one of his favorite pastimes. Darryl is predeceased by his father, Ralph Duggan Woods and his brother Ralph Woods.

Survivors include his children, Shayne Woods of Sandersville, Jeremy Woods and his wife Mary of Milledgeville and Erica Woods Josey of Riddleville; grandchildren, Chad Josey, Matthew Johnson, and Lauren Johnson; and mother, Ellen Tanner Woods Gumby of Sandersville.
