Mr. David Jackson Hart, age 71 of Harrison, died Sunday, March 14, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 18 th at 2:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with military honors. Pastor Weston Williford will officiate. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service, also at the funeral home.
David was born and reared in Orlando, Florida, the son of the late George Washington Hart and the late Mary Louise Buchannon Hart. He proudly served his country in the United Stated Marine Corps during Viet-Nam. Following his military service, David resided in Orlando for many years where he worked as a self-employed brick mason until he retired and moved to Washington County in 2005. David was a collector of comic books and loved music by Hank Williams, Jr.
Survivors include his daughters, Davina Hart of Madison, Wisconsin and Celine H. Hamilton and her husband David of Harrison; grandchildren, Robert Edwards, Gabrielle Edwards, Adriana Hart, Vanesa Hart, Tyler Hart, Taylor Hart, Castielle Perez-Hart, Joseph Perez-Hart, and Judd George Washington Hart; three great grandchildren; and siblings, Laura H. Russell of Harrison, Mary H. Parker and John Percey Hart both of Sandersville.
