David Allen Lindsey

Riddleville

Mr. David Allen Lindsey, age 60, of Old Savannah Road, Riddleville, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025.  A funeral service celebrating David's life will be held on Tuesday, September 9th at 2:00 p.m. at the Riddleville Baptist Church with burial in the Riddleville Cemetery.  Reverend Wade Dawson and Reverend Andy Carter will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Travis Herman, Jordan Jenkins, Rusty Sanders, Justin Hancock, Willis Wilson, Jason Bryan, Manny Rubiera, Randy Jackson, Jacob Appleby and Wayne "Peanut" Coleman.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Robbie Lane, Danny Sweatman, Ralph Tanner, Stacey Everett, Shane Hart, Jimmy Pagan, Randy Hasty, Marvin Osborne, Rex Brantley, Harry Lindsey, Russell Fulmer, Billy Weaver and Alan Russell.  David's family will greet friends on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home.

David was a lifelong resident of his family farm.  He was the son of the late Robbie and Charlotte Fields Lindsey.  David began working on the farm at an early age and graduated from Washington County High School.  He began his working career at Jackson's Machine Shop where he acquired the skill of welder and metal fabricator.  He later worked for Lapp Insulator until the company's closure.  David currently worked for Thiele Kaolin Company.  Because of his upbringing, David possessed a love of farming and the land.  He was an avid hunter and loved to fish.  David was known a true and faithful friend to many.  He was a great conversationalist and storyteller.  Above all he loved and adored all of his family.

David is survived by his faithful and longtime companion, Debbie Bryan and her sons, Chris Bryan and his wife Callie of Milledgeville and Jason Bryan and his wife Kelly of Mitchell, his daughters, Jessica W. Pennington and her husband Andy of Sandersville, Jennifer Lindsey and her husband Dakota Wilkes of Wrightsville and Julie Lindsey and her fiancé Travis Herman of Glenwood, grandchildren, Beau Lindsey, Thomas Withrow-Pennington, Caine Lindsey, Gregory Herman, Jenny Mae Pennington, Robbie Herman, Jacob Pennington, Jeslyn Pennington, Remington Herman, Cohen Bryan, Caleb Bryan, Clyde Bryan and Magdalene Bryan and his sisters, Diane Messmore and her husband Robert of Cleveland, and Cynthia Turner and her husband Jamie of Tennille.
