Mr. David Prince, age 67, of Davisboro, died Sunday, November 6, 2016. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 9th at 2:00 p.m. in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial on the Prince Farm. Reverend Danny Thomas and Reverend Stan Littleton will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Cowart, Terry Cowart, Donald Norris, William Dukes, Brian Dukes, Keith McCoy, Clay Shaw and Aaron Prince.
Mr. Prince was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late James Benjamin Prince and the late Dorothy Cowart Prince. He retired after 41 years of service as a production manager for Thiele Kaolin. David was also a longtime farmer and enjoyed raising cattle and producing hay. He was a member of the Washington County Cattleman’s Association and White Oak Church. David was an avid hunter, but most of all enjoyed being with family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include: his wife, Elaine Fowler Prince of Davisboro; children, Lori P. Ennis of Davisboro, Jason Prince and his wife Tiffany of Sandersville and Jamie P. Garrett of Davisboro; grandchildren, Megan Cramer and her husband Justin, Kaitlin Sanders, Faith Garrett, Leslie Sanders, Trey Garrett, Peyton Prince, Emily Prince, and Shelby Ennis; great grandson, Liam Heath; brother, Albert Prince and his wife Debbie of Rentz; sisters, Anne P. Dukes of Davisboro and Carolyn P. Toman of Culloden; mother-in-law, Sybil Fowler of Davisboro.
The family will be at the Prince residence on South Sparta-Davisboro Road and will receive friends on Tuesday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville.
