David Smith

Mr. David Smith, age 77 of Harrison, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Fairview Park Hospital after an extended illness. A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in Washington County Memorial Gardens. Shannon Anderson will officiate, and pallbearers will be Mike Warren, Randy Jackson, Bill Frost, Ray Moon, John Wright and Shannon Anderson.

Mr. Smith was born in Sandersville, the son of the late Herschel L. Smith and the late Okella Josey Smith. He was a graduate of Washington County High School and worked for Lapp Insulators and Taylor Construction. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and growing vegetables. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Clydie Faye Smith McDonough, and his brother, Herschel L. Smith, Jr.

Mr. Smith is survived by his sisters, Hazel Smith Warren (Robbie), Jane Smith, and Sue Smith Higginbotham; close friends, Ken Westbrook and Jose Pena; and many nieces and nephews.
