Dena Easteen Gay Johnson

Mrs. Dena Easteen Johnson, age 51, of 804 South Pecan Street in Sandersville died Tuesday December 21, 2010 in the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 24, in the Friendship Baptist Church near Deepstep with burial in the Friendship Church Cemetery. The Rev. Jerry Bradley will officiate.

Mrs. Johnson was a native of Jones County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Edward Gay and the late Shirley Sumlin Gay. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker.

Survivors are her husband, Larry Johnson of Sandersville, a daughter, Kim Meeks and her husband Charles of Sandersville, two sons, Chris Skinner and his wife Shanta of Gray and Joey Skinner of Warthen, nine grandchildren, James Skinner, Shane Skinner, Leah Skinner, Joseph Skinner, Rachel Skinner, Vance Skinner, Caitlin Meeks, Brittany Meeks and Jacob Meeks, a brother, Ronnie Gay of Lizella and a niece, Evelyn Elaine Johnson.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday evening.
