Mrs. Dena Stewart Pittman, age 76, of Sandersville died Wednesday April 1. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday April 4 in the First Baptist of Sandersville with burial in the Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. The Rev. Jimmy Harris and Rev. Rick Freeman will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Brewer, Lyle Pittman, Heath Pittman, Jonathan Franklin, David Dollar and Daniel Dollar.

Mrs. Pittman was a native of Taliaferro County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Robert Harris Stewart and the late Alice Marchman Stewart. She was the wife of the late James Lyle Pittman.
Mrs. Pittman was a retired book keeper for Avant Motor Parts. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sandersville.

Survivors are a daughter, Sandra (Mike) Franklin of Sandersville and a son, Jimmy (Donna) Pittman of Oconee, seven grandchildren, Lyle Pittman, Heath Pittman, Melissa Franklin, Jonathan Franklin, David Dollar, Daniel Dollar and Ron Kelley, two great grandchildren, Brayden Pittman and Ryne Pittman, a sister, Nina Stewart Hollis of Lizella and a niece, Betty Ann Brewer of Macon.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Friday evening.
