Dessie Lee Morris

Dessie Lee Morris, age 92, of Miami, Florida died on March 5 in the Sinai Plaza Center in Miami.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday March 15 in the New Home Baptist Church Cemetery located at 2616 SA Attaway Road, Wrightsville, Georgia, 31096. The Reverend Lamar Brantley will officiate.

Ms. Morris was a native of Blackshear, Georgia, the daughter of the late Harley Allen Morris and the late Mattie Meeks Morris. She had resided in Miami for many years. She was a plant supervisor for Mal Marshalls Clothing Company.

Survivors are three sisters’ Vonnie Johnson of Harrison, Louella Alley of Conyers and Thelma Oliver of Macon; loving family caretakers, Barbara Coleman of Sparta, Harley Morris of Tennille, Josh Morris and Altieris Santana of Miami; and several nieces and nephews.

May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.
