Dessie Jane Prosser

Mrs. Dessie Jane Prosser, age 74, of Tennille died on Monday May 5, 2014 following an extended illness. Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 7 at 2:00 P.M. in the Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville.  The Rev. Danny Thomas will officiate.

Mrs. Prosser was a native of Jefferson County, the daughter of the late William Thomas Brooks and the late Reba Dye Brooks.  She was the wife of the late Melvin Rudolph Prosser.  Mrs. Prosser was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Sandersville.

Survivors are her children, Evie Smith of Tennille, Gloria J. McBane and her husband Kenneth of Milledgeville and Roger Lee Prosser of Tennille, three grandchildren, Kimberly Prosser, Laura Smith and Doyle Mack Smith, Jr., three great grandchildren, Phillip Christian Smith, Landon Boone and Kaylee Grace Smith, a sister, Asalee Dixon of Florida.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday.
