Mrs. Diane M. Annabel, age 80 of Warthen passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Oconee Health and Rehab. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, August 22, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Warthen. Reverend Tim Powell and Reverend Anthony Baker will officiate. Pallbearers will be Rylan Thompson, Brian Griffith, Ramsey Grant, Nicholas Griffith, Darrell Smith, and Jason Williams. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at the church.

Mrs. Annabel was born in Stockbridge, Michigan, the daughter of the late Claude James Teachout and the late Lila Marion Hadley Teachout. She enjoyed baking, especially peanut butter cookies and banana bread. Mrs. Annabel also found pleasure in tending her flower garden and watching and feeding birds. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker, and was great at making quilts, doll clothes, and crocheting. Mrs. Annabel also enjoyed watching the ID channel, LMN, and the Hallmark Channel, as well as listening to Elvis Presley. She was a devoted Christ follower and spent time every day reading the Bible and daily devotions. Mrs. Annabel loved her grandchildren deeply. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Wayne Annabel, Sr.; daughter, Tammy Jacobs; and siblings, Joyce Harr, Rita Teachout, Leo Teachout, and Charles “Chuck” Teachout.

Mrs. Annabel is survived by her children, Tina Smith and her husband Hugh of Harrison, Kenneth Wayne Annabel, Jr. of Warthen, Brenda Smith and her husband Darrell of Warthen, Donna Holder of Colorado Springs, CO, and Melissa Williams and her husband Jason of Lyons; step-children, Robert “Bob” Annabel and his wife Kathy, Rose Edgar, and Ruth Rinaldi; grandchildren, Zachary Smith, Justin Wayne Annabel, Brian Griffith, Nicholas Griffith, Ramsey Grant, Chassity “Nikki” Trice, Rylan Thompson, Logan Thompson, McKayla Williams, Logan Williams, and Kameron Williams; 15 great grandchildren; and brother, Carl Teachout of Cheboygan, MI.
