"Don" Jake Donaldson Barton

Mr. Jake Donaldson "Don" Barton, age 66, of 531 M. Friedman Drive, in Sandersville died at his residence. A memorial service for Mr. Barton will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 22nd, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. The Rev. Chris Mayhew will officiate and burial will be at a later date in Dodge County.

Mr. Barton was a native of Chatham County, the son of the late
Richard Barton and the late Bertha Woodard Barton. Mr. Barton was a retired truck driver and a member of the First Southern Methodist Church. Mr. Barton was preceded in death by two brothers, Herschel Barton and Nicky Barton.

Survivors are: his children, Kenneth Donaldson Barton of Dublin, Amy Elaine Barton of Hawkinsville, Joseph David Barton of Thompson, Richard Shawn Barton of Dublin and Kelly Evans; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Magdalene Peacock.

May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.
