Donald Robert Brown, Jr

Mr. Donald Robert Brown, Jr., age 42, of Athens, formerly of Sandersville, died on Friday, October 9, 2015.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 15, in the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Warthen with burial in the Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. Minister Marlon Lastinger and Reverend Tim Powell will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Chad Phillips, Chris Burns, Chad Brown, Shannon Brinson, Mark Daniels, Eli Douglass, Troy Hampton, Thomas Brown, Daniel Douglass, George Garbutt and John Garner.

Mr. Brown was a native of Washington County, Georgia, the son of the late Donald Robert "Duck" Brown, Sr. He was a professional tree surgeon. Mr. Brown was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and the Elks Lodge at Lake Oconee.

Survivors are his mother, Robin Brown Archer of Sandersville; his step father, Mitch Archer of Sandersville; a sister, Rebecca Brown of Warthen; a brother, Aaron Archer and his wife Ashley of Warthen; three nephews, Riley Helton, Mitchell Archer and Hudson Archer; and a niece, Faith Archer.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday.
