Donnie Joe Waters

Mr. Donnie Joe Waters, age 64, of Tennille passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024 following an extended illness.  A graveside funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, February 6th at 2:00 p.m. in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville.  Pastor Weston Williford will officiate.

Donnie was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late Franklin George Waters and the late Alice Marie Lewis Waters. He began his working career as a well driller and later worked for his father's well drilling business.  Donnie worked for himself as a carpenter and lastly as a small engine repair person for Hometown Supply in Dublin. He loved to be outdoors and to go fishing. He was a simple man who truly enjoyed having fun with family and friends. In addition to his parents, Donnie is predeceased by his son, Daniel Waters and siblings, Teresa W. Williford and Bobby Waters.

Survivors include his son Dana Waters and his wife Courtney of Sandersville; grandchildren, Dylan Waters and Schyler Waters; and siblings, Franklin "Buddy" Waters of Tennille, Dean Waters and Ronnie Waters and his wife Cheryl all of Warthen.
