Doris Olinda Ledbeter Conger

Mrs. Doris Olinda Ledbeter Conger, age 88, of Oconee, formerly of Jeffersonville, died Friday May 13, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 15th, in the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville. Burial will be private. The Rev. Emory Anderson will officiate.

Mrs.Conger was a native of Twiggs County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Olin Ledbetter and the late Effie Asbell Ledbetter. She was a graduate of Berry College and a former school teacher with the Twiggs County School System. Mrs. Conger was a member of the New Richland Baptist Church.

Mrs. Conger is survived by her two sons, Charles Alan Conger and his wife Robin of Oconee and Owen Phillip Conger and his wife Ann of Jeffersonville, five grandchildren, Jennifer Conger Emberton , Joseph Conger, Mandy Conger, Russell Conger and Laura Conger Reynolds, four great grandchildren, Alan Russell Conger, Nickoli Emberton, Abigail Emberton and Rylie Conger.

The family will greet friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Saturday.
