Dorothy Brown June 10, 1939 - February 5, 2017 Funeral services for Dorothy Maxine Brown, age 77, of Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Bethsaida Baptist Church. Burial will follow at 2:30 PM at Washington County Memorial Gardens in Sandersville. Rev. Brad Ball will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM. Ms. Brown died Sunday, February 5, 2017. Miss Brown was a retired caregiver of the elderly, and a long time former member of Olive Hill Baptist Church, her home church in Sandersville. She has been a member of Bethsaida Baptist Church for the last several years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clemon C. and Cora Lee Pittman Brown; brother, James C. Brown, Sr.; brother-in-law, Lee Roy Hatcher, Jr.; and special friend, Thad Parker. Survivors include her sisters, Martha Brown, of Dublin, Bobbie B. (Randy) Helton, of Sandersville, Carol B. (Freddie) Smith, of Dublin; sister in law, Gerdine Brown of Sandersville; special aunt, Teen Brown, of Sandersville; lifelong friend, Wynona Adams, of Milledgeville; and numerous nieces and nephews. James Brown, Jr., Jerry Brown, Keith Helton, Sr., Travis Hatcher, Greg Aaron, and John Andres, will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Friendship Sunday School Class and the deacons of Bethsaida Baptist Church.
