Dorothy Ross Griffith

Ms. Dorothy Ross Griffith, age 78, of Warthen, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, August 12, 2021.   A family gathering celebrating her life will be held at a later date.

Ms. Griffith was born and reared in Wayne County, Michigan one of ten siblings, the daughter of the late Howard Ross and the late Minnie Elenbach Ross.  She moved to Washington County Georgia in 1979.  Ms. Griffith formerly worked as a sales associate for the former Speed Check in Sandersville and Turners Merchandize in Warthen.  Later she began a house cleaning service which she continued until her death.  Ms. Griffith loved dancing and sewing but most of all she cherished being with her family.

Survivors are her children, Eugene Griffith of North Carolina, Elgar "Randy" Griffith of Michigan, Ronald Griffith of Warthen, Amelia Starlene Ware of Swainsboro and Tonya Farmer of Sandersville, 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
