One of five children born to the late Tommy Lee Sellars and Rose Waller Sellars, Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Sandersville. She received her education in the school system in Washington County. Dorothy was a devoted mother, and once she became a grandmother, she was extremely devoted to her grandchildren and immensely enjoyed spending time with each and every one of them. She was a faithful, hard worker of Royal Manufacturing and retired after 32 years of service to the company. Dorothy had a “green thumb” and enjoyed watching her flowers and plants flourish to the fullest potential. She also enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden and reaping the harvests of her labor. After her retirement, she spent a great amount of time fishing from her dock at the lake and watching the Atlanta Braves, her favorite baseball team, play baseball. She also enjoyed cooking and preparing Sunday dinner for her children and grandchildren and always took the time to make sure that she cooked something that each one of her grandchildren liked.
