Dorothy Walker Brown

Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Walker Brown, age 87, of 20107 North Sparta-Davisboro Road in Warthen died
Thursday in the Gibson Health and Rehab following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday May 24 in the Balerma Baptist Church near Warthen. The Rev. Adrian Burrell and Rev Kenneth Watkins will officiate with burial in the Balerma Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard T. Hattaway, Jr., Wayne Walker, Tony Walker, Glen Walker, Aubrey Walker and Milton Walker.

Mrs. Brown was a native and life long resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Henry F. Walker and the late Fannie Adell Rachels Walker. She was the widow of the late Cecil Bernard Brown. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a member of the Pine Hill United Methodist Church.

Survivors are a daughter, Cecilia (Joel) Brown Nobles of Warthen, two grandchildren, Jeremy Allen Nobles and David Joel Nobles both of Warthen, a sister, Mary Walker Hattaway of Sandersville.

May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.

The family suggests that donations may be made to the Pine Hill United Methodist Church or the Balerma Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday evening.
