Dotty Ivey Morgan

Dotty Ivey Morgan, 68, of Macon, passed away peacefully at her residence on November 13, 2022. The family will have a time of visitation on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mt. Pleasant Church Rd, Macon, Georgia, 31216. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Directors, 1119 Riddleville Rd, Sandersville, Georgia, 31082. Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Immediately following, Dotty will be laid to rest in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville.
Dotty was born on June 8, 1954, in Sandersville, Georgia to late Tommy Alson Ivey and Mildred Lindsey Ivey. She retired from Wesleyan College where she worked as an Accounting Clerk for over 20 years. Dotty was a member of Calvary Baptist Church but most recently attended Mikado Baptist Church with her husband Jeffery. From a young age, Dotty loved children and being active in her church, one time serving with her husband as youth directors while also teaching a children's Sunday School Class and being heavily involved with Vacation Bible School. In her free time, she enjoyed cross stitching, scrapbooking and making cards. Above everything, Dotty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her.
Dotty was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her sister, Nancy Carolyn Amerson and her brother-in-law, Billy Amerson.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving family. Her husband of 44 years: Jeffery Lee Morgan. Sons: Scott Thomas Morgan (Dharma) and Brandon Lee Morgan (Natalie). Grandchildren: Daniel Morgan, Dominic Morgan and Gabe Morgan. Siblings: Martha Hendricks (Bobby), Henry Ivey (Cathy) and Dolly Arrowood (Rick).
