Edna Palmer Bailey

Mrs. Edna Palmer Bailey, age 99, of Sandersville died on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Heritage Inn of Sandersville following an extended illness. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 25 at Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville.  Reverend Stan Littleton will officiate. The public may pay their respects on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.

Mrs. Bailey was the daughter of the late Willie Palmer and the late Lavada Tapley Palmer.  She was the wife of the late Bufford Bailey.  She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Debra Blount, siblings, Harrison Palmer, Elmer Palmer and Rosco “Doc” Palmer, and son in law, Ron Skinner. She had resided in Sandersville for many years and was a wonderful homemaker.

Survivors are her daughters, Joann Bailey Torrez and her husband Terry of Sandersville and Janice Bailey Skinner of Las Cruces New Mexico; grandchildren, William Skinner and Melissa Almado; great grandchildren, Brandon Blount, Henry Skinner and Tavira Skinner; and great great grandchild, Callan Blount.
