Mr. Edsel Scarboro, Jr., age 48, of Davisboro died Sunday evening, November 18, 2012 in the Washington Regional Medical Center in Sandersville following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 25th, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. The Rev. Andy Carter will officiate with burial in the Old City cemetery in Sandersville.
Mr. Scarboro was a lifelong resident of Washington County. He was a paving contractor with Scarboro & Son Paving Company.
Survivors are: his children, Jesse Barwick Scarboro and Brittany Hall both of Santa Clarita, California and Simone Scarboro of Allen, Kansas; his mother and father, Deryl Hardy Scarboro and Edsel Scarboro, Sr. of Sandersville; three sisters, Sheree Scarboro McCommon and her husband Jerry of Milledgeville, Deryl LaDonna Scarboro and Michael Prater of Davisboro and Bonnie Scarboro Jackson and her husband Kerry of Sandersville; an aunt, Margaret Hardy Blackwell and her husband Mitch of Atlanta; nieces and nephew, Katheryn Fredrick Durden, Morgan McCommon and Colby McCommon; a great nephew, John Durden; and his faithful four legged friend Rebel.
The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 1:00 P.M. on Sunday until the hour of service.
May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.
