Edwin Sherwood Jackson

Mr. Edwin Sherwood Jackson, age 81, of Harrison died on Saturday, June 10, 2017 in Washington County Regional Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, June 12 ^th at Harrison Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Reverend Andy Carter will officiate.

Mr. Jackson was a native of Washington County, Georgia, the son of the late John W. Jackson and the late Edna Hartley Jackson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazle Fulghum Jackson and his brother, Julius W. Jackson. Mr. Jackson was an Army veteran and a retired lineman from Washington County EMC where he worked for 31 years. He was a member of Harrison Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his sons, Tracy Jackson of Harrison and Kerry Jackson and his wife Bonnie of Sandersville; granddaughter, Kristen Jackson Capps and her husband Ross of Simpsonville, SC; sister-in-law, Hazel Jackson of Harrison; brother-in-law's, Michael Fulghum and his wife Linda of Byron and Sam Rainwater of Duluth, Ga.; several nieces and nephews; his faithful dog, Coco, and cat, Cupid.

The family will be at the Jackson residence in Harrison.
