Tracy Jackson, age 68, of Harrison passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. A graveside committal service will be held on Saturday, July 11th at 11:00 a.m. in the Harrison Baptist Church Cemetery.
Edwin Tracy Jackson was born in Macon but lived his entire life in Harrison. He was the son of the late Edwin S. Jackson and the late Hazle Fulghum Jackson. Tracy attended school both in Washington County and Johnson County. He began his working career as a meat cutter, first for Raines Superette in Harrison and later with Piggly Wiggly in Sandersville. Tracy possessed a love for motors and was a crafted mechanic. He used his talent working for Halls Rebuilt Engines, Price Automotive and Avant Salvage. Tracy last worked in maintenance for American Industrial Clay Company. His favorite hobby was to rebuild racing engines for racecars. Tracy was a NASCAR fan and loved drag racing. He was a member Harrison Baptist Church and enjoyed watching TV preaching.
Survivors include his daughter, Kristen J. Capps and her husband Ross of Greenville, S.C.; one grandson Tanner Capps and his brother and Kerry Jackson and his wife Bonnie of Sandersville.
