Mrs. Eileen Catlin Dyer, age 84 of Tanley Street, Sandersville, Georgia, formerly of Fort Gratiot Township, Michigan, passed away at her residence on December 13, 2023. A funeral and burial will take place in Rochester, Michigan.

Mrs. Dyer was born in Milford, Michigan on February 22, 1939, the daughter of the late Chester Catlin and the late Helen Cooley Catlin. She was a graduate of Milford High School, class of 1957. Mrs. Dyer was proud of her career as a Hostess at Cracker Barrel, a job she acquired later in life. She was a proud Air Force wife while her husband was in service. Prior to her illness she enjoyed ceramics, as well as collecting owls and spoons. She enjoyed traveling with her husband while they were both still able to and doing crossword puzzles. Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Dyer was a member of Legacy Center Church in Tennille, Georgia and the Moose Lodge and American Legion Auxiliaries. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Eugene Dyer; daughter, Nancy Dyer; sister, Lois Weber Cathers; and daughter-in-law, Donna Dyer.

Mrs. Dyer is survived by her children, Gail Gooch and her husband Mike of Burton, MI, Stephen Dyer of Rochester, MI, Bruce Dyer and his wife Kari of Port Huron Township, MI, Deborah Mantey and her husband Mike of Tennille, GA, and Edward Dyer and his wife Jill of Sandersville, GA; Grandchildren, Damon Dyer, Anthony Dyer, Tara Dyer, Kyle Dyer, Ashley Dyer, Cheyenne Bailey, Kira Rivera Rios, and Shane Mantey; six great grandchildren; and sister, Velma Randall of Mesa, Arizona.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Mrs. Dyer’s memory to the America Diabetes Association at diabetes.org
