Mrs. Eileen Wiggins Lindsey, age 82, of Riddleville, died Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Tennille Retirement Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 9 th at 11:00 a.m. at Jackson’s Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Reverend Danny Thomas, Reverend Fred Morrison and Reverend Mike Jones will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jamie Lindsey, Charlie Lindsey, Chad Foskey, Chris Bryan, Jason Bryan and Jacob Burkhalter.
Mrs. Lindsey was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Charlie G. Wiggins Sr. and the late Ethel Sheppard Wiggins. She was a home maker and also formerly employed by Royal Manufacturing and the William Carter Company where she worked as a supervisor and assistant manager. In retirement, Mrs. Lindsey worked as a greeter for Walmart. She attended the Jackson’s Baptist Church and she is predeceased by her husband, James Edward Lindsey and brothers, C.G. Wiggins Jr. and William L. Wiggins.
Survivors are: her son, Don and his wife Gloria Lindsey; daughter , Debra L. Bryan and David Lindsey all of Riddleville; grandchildren, Chris Bryan and his wife Callie of Milledgeville, Jason Bryan and his wife Kelly of Tennille, Jamie Lindsey and his wife Crissy, Charlie Lindsey and his wife Regina all of Riddleville and Pamela Foskey and her husband Chad of Gray; ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sister, Annie Mary Freeman of Toomsboro; and sisters-in-law’s, Jackie Lindsey of Augusta, Annette Lindsey of Swainsboro and Barbara Wiggins of Sandersville.
The family will be at the residence of Don and Gloria Lindsey on Old Savannah Road and they will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
