Mrs. Elaine Brantley Fulghum, age 68, of Harrison, died Tuesday, November 26, 2013. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 29th, at 11:00 a.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. The Reverend Andy Carter will officiate.
Mrs. Fulghum was a Washington County native, the daughter of the late Jesse James Brantley and the late Gertrude Estee Smith Brantley. She was a homemaker and a member of the Harrison Baptist Church. Mrs. Fulghum was predeceased by her husband Roger Leonard Fulghum.
Survivors are her daughter, Michele F. Cowart and her husband Terry of Harrison; grandchildren, David Allen Story,Jr., Nicole C. Ellis and her husband Ricky and Heather Cowart; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Loretta B. Warren of Harrison; brothers-in-law, Michael Fulghum and his wife Linda of Byron and Edwin Jackson of Harrison; her adoptive family, Shirl W. Lindsey of Tennille and Hazel Jackson of Harrison; and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the Fulghum Home on Church Street in Harrison.
The family suggests that donations be made to United Hospice of Swainsboro, 667 South Main Street, Swainsboro, Georgia 30401.
