Elaine Barnes Lindsey

Mrs. Elaine Barnes Lindsey, age 71, of Sandersville, died Friday, September 4, 2015. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 8th at 2:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille.

Reverends L. T. Logue and Nathan Adams will officiate. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Lindsey’s grandsons.

Mrs. Lindsey was born in Albany, Georgia, the daughter of the late Marion Bernard Barnes and the late Ethel Clifford Bowen Barnes. She was a homemaker and a former employee of the William Carter Company and the Washington County Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Lindsey is predeceased by her husband Jimmy Lindsey.

Survivors are: her sons, Jimmy Lindsey Jr. and his wife Debbie, and Mark Lindsey all of Tennille, and Allen Lindsey and his wife Ann of Sandersville; grandchildren, Thomas Lindsey, Alexandria Lindsey, Jason Lindsey and his wife Scarlet, Steven Lindsey, Nick Carroll, Jeromy Carroll and Charles Carroll; and eleven great grandchildren.

The family will be at the Lindsey residence on Lakeview Drive in Sandersville and they will receive friends on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
