Elizabeth Ross Burgess Lemons

Mrs. Elizabeth Ross Burgess Lemons, age 90, of Waynesboro, Georgia died Monday, October 15, 2012, in Brentwood Terrace Health Care in Waynesboro following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 17th, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. Rev. Jim Rush and Rev. Craig Hutto will officiate with burial in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille.

Mrs. Lemons was a native of Decatur Georgia. She was the wife of the late Dr. Charles Nathan Burgess who was a former pastor of the Tennille United Methodist Church and the wife of the late Rev. Lawrence A. Lemons. Mrs. Lemons was an active participant with the United Methodist Church having served as a district and conference officer. She was a member of the Waynesboro United Methodist Church.

There are no surviving members of her family.
