Mr. Elmer William Pirrmann, Jr., age 79, of 2265 Heards Bridge Road in Davisboro died Saturday night May 24 at his residence.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday morning May 28 in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville.
Mr. Pirrmann was a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of the late Elmer William Pirrmann, Sr. He had lived in Washington County for the past three years. Mr. Pirrmann was a heating and air conditioning contractor. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. Mr. Pirrmann was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, serving in the United States Marine Corps. He was a former drill instructor and served with the Marine Honor Guard in the original freedom train in 1947. He was a member of the Hoffner Masonic Lodge # 253, the Scottish Rite Bodies and a member of the Syrian Shrine Temple in Ohio.
Survivors are his mother, Cleo Joy Rowan Pirrmann of Fresno, California, his children, Cathern Joy Pirrmann Norris of Davisboro, Pamela Louise Pirrmann Martini of Falmouth, Ky., Peggy Virginia Pirrmann Hatfield of Cincinnati, and Christopher Robert Pirrmann of Davisboro, eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren , a brother, Donald Kenneth Pirrmann of South Carolina.
May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.
The family suggests that donations be made in Mr. Pirrmann’s memory to the Shriners Burn Hospital in Cincinnati.
