Elmore Jack Barron

Mr. Elmore Jack "Nick" Barron, age 83, of Warthen, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024.

Nick was born and reared in Tennille son of the late William Thomas Barron and the late Mavis Cook Barron.  He joined the US Navy at the age of 17.  Following his military service, he began a long railroad career with Union Pacific Railroad where he retired as an engineer.   He lived most of his life along the pacific coast.  In retirement, Nick also worked for Amtrack.  Late in life he returned to Georgia to be near family.  He was a great conversationalist and loved his animals.  In addition to his parents, Nick also predeceased by his siblings, Lina Barron Falk, Harold Gregory Barron, John Oscar Barron and Thomas Grady Barron and a special uncle Henry Barron.

Survivors include his son, Jackie Barron and sister Sylvia Ann Barron Hart of Warthen.
