Emond Carlos May, Jr

Mr. Edmond Carlos May, Jr., age 95, of Sandersville died Friday evening June 6 in the Extended Care Facility following an extended illness. Graveside funeral services will be held at ll:00 A.M. Tuesday morning in the Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. The Rev. Rick Freeman will officiate.

Mr. May was a native of Washington County, the son of the late Edmond Carlos May, Sr. and the late Gertrude Richards May. He was the husband of the late Charlotte F. May. Mr. May was the chief buyer for the mens department of Rich’s Department Stores. He was a long time resident of Atlanta before moving back to Sandersville. Mr. May was an army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sandersville and the Adult Sunday School Class.

Survivors are several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Monday evening.
