Eugene "Gene" T. Etheridge

Mr. Eugene T. “Gene” Etheridge, age 78, of Warner Robins died Monday, March 14, 2016. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 18th at 2:00 p.m. at the Piney Mount United Methodist Church with military honors. Reverend Robert Wood will officiate.

Mr. Etheridge was a native of Washington County the son of the late Gary Billy Ethridge and the late Evelyn Bussell Ethridge. Gene’s military career spanned 28 years. He served in both the U.S. Army and with the National Guard. After retirement from the military, Gene lived in Alaska, Kansas, South Carolina, and North Carolina working in the Security Industry.

Survivors are: his wife Irena Dolat Etheridge of Warner Robins; sons, Craig Etheridge and his wife Teresa of Thomson, and Brian Etheridge of Sparta; step children, Sandra Ann C. Guerrero of Alaska and Walter A. Carroll of Washington State; five grandchildren; and his sister, Mary E. Shurling and her husband Jack of Tennille.

The family will be at the home of Jack and Mary Shurling on Old Savannah Road, south of Tennille, and they will receive friends following the memorial service in the Social Hall of the Church.
