Mrs. Eugenia Cochran Tanner, age 84, of 121 Brooks Spring Road in Sandersville died Sunday April 26 in the Washington County Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday April 28 at the Graveside in the Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Tony Smith will officiate.
Mrs. Tanner was a native and life long resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Jerry Cochran and the late Annie Mae Brantley Cochran. She was the wife of the late James Franklin Tanner, Sr.. Mrs. Tanner was a retired seamstress and a homemaker. She was a member of the Tabernacle United Methodist Church.
Survivors are a daughter, Geneva Tanner (Bobby) Phillips of Fairhope, Alabama, two sons, James Franklin Tanner, Jr. of Sandersville and Jerry (Martha) Tanner of Tennille, a daughter in law, Cecilia McCoy, a sister, Lavenia Cochran Brown of Sandersville, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The family will be at the residence of James F. Tanner, Jr., 9228 Highway 24 West in Sandersville and will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Monday evening.
