Mrs. Evelyn Millikin Helton, age 83, of 1537 Georgia Highway 15 North in Sandersville died on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at her residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 14th, at Four Sons Farm with burial in the Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. The Elder Kenneth Brantley will officiate.
The family will receive friends at Four Sons Farm Monday, April 13th, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
Pallbearers will be Lee Brantley, C. V. Brookins, Eric Lee, Bernard L. Helton, David Burkholder and Sammy Jordan.
Mrs. Helton was a native of Baxley, Georgia, the daughter of the late Joseph E. Millikin and the late Harriett Dixon Millikin. She was the wife of the late Dr. William Stacer Helton, Sr. and the mother of the late Douglas Scott Helton and the late Stewart Roswell Helton. Mrs. Helton, who loved high fashion, modeled for Patricia Stevens Company in the Jacksonville, Florida area. She was a homemaker and devoted mother. Mrs. Helton was a member of the Guild of Sandersville, the Tuesday Afternoon Bridge Club and an avid golfer with a hole-in-one on her score card.
Survivors are her sons, Stacer Helton and his wife Pam of Sandersville and Michael Shea Helton of Sandersville; grandsons, Jerry Everett of Atlanta and Stephen Everett and his wife Katie of Sandersville; and two great grandchildren, Cole Everett and Rue Everett.
