Fay Harris Smith

Mrs. Fay Harris Smith, age 81, of 514 Kinney Street in Sandersville died on Sunday morning, August 30, 2015, following a brief illness.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday September 1, 2015, in the West Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Monroe Georgia. Reverend Roy Cates will officiate.

Mrs. Smith was a native of Walton County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Walter Lewis Harris and the late Vida Perry Harris. She was the widow of the late William Reuben Smith. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of the Fishing Creek Baptist Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a former member of the Women's Club of Tignall and the Homemakers Club of Cherokee County.

Survivors are: her husband, Herbert Butler of Danburg; two daughters, Rebecca Smith Beckworth and her husband Mike of Riddleville, and Marcia Smith Brannen and her husband Josh of Sandersville; four grandchildren, John Beckworth, Lindsey Beckworth, Joshua Brannen and Austin Brannen; and a great grandson, Hutson Michael Beckworth.
