Faye Bryan Goodman

Faye Bryan Goodman, age 88, of Stone Mountain, Georgia passed away on December 1, 2018. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile that greeted everyone she met. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 4 ^th at 2 p.m. in May & Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Brownwood Cemetery.

Faye was born on June 23, 1930 to Mildred and Thomas Bryan and grew up in Riddleville, Ga along with her three sisters, Joyce, Claire, Patsy and later baby brother, Bennie Pete. She was the Captain of her basketball team and was voted “Who’s Who Prettiest” in her graduating year. After graduating high school and falling for the very handsome Navy seaman, David Goodman from Sandersville, they married and had four children. They were members of the United Methodist Church in Sandersville and later moved to Stone Mountain, Ga where they attended the Smoke Rise Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, David Goodman Jr. and wife Jo-Ann of Loganville Ga, Michael Goodman and wife Carolyn of Suwanee Ga, Kathy Goodman of Charlotte NC and Debbie Bearden and husband Steve of Hilton Head SC; sisters Patsy Bridges of Riddleville and Claire Burke of Monahans Texas; grandchildren, Traci Gravelle, Heather Goodman, David Goodman, and Melissa Goodman; and great grandchildren, Jackson Gravelle, Jameson Gravelle, and Jase Goodman and four grand dogs.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 4th from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville, Ga.
