Felicie Lamb Moye

Mrs. Felicie Lamb Moye, age 80 of Sandersville, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 12:00 noon in the chapel of May and Smith Funeral Home. Reverend Joel Pritchard will officiate, and burial will be in Zeta Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Moye was born in Macon, and grew up in Twiggs County, the daughter of the late Felton Lamb and the late Mary Gazaway Lamb. She was the office manager at Air Gas for 42 years, where she notably worked alongside her late husband, Tommy L. Moye. She enjoyed shopping and working in the yard. Mrs. Moye’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren or visiting her siblings in Macon. She was a true-blue Elvis fan. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Jane Booth and brother Billy Lamb.

Mrs. Moye is survived by her children, Jeff Moye (Karen) of Sandersville and Amy Tanner (Rocky) of Harrison; grandchildren, Christopher Moye (Whitney), Kathryn Howard (Tyler), Tripp Tanner (Grace Barker), and Elizabeth Tanner; great-grandsons, Carter Moye and Weston Moore; her sisters, Carolyn Colvin and Margaret Miller; brother, Buddy Lamb; dear friends, John and Mary Garner; and her fur baby, Gizmo.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made in Mrs. Moye’s memory to the Washington County Animal Shelter, 430 Beck Blvd., Sandersville, GA 31082.
