Mrs. Florine James Hunter, age 74, of Pembroke Pines, Florida was called to rest on October 11, 2012.

Mrs. Hunter was a native of Sandersville, Georgia. She worked as a private duty nurse for over 25 years in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. A chartered member of
New Birth Baptist Church, she was a loyal and devout Christian. Mrs. Hunter enjoyed gardening, singing, cooking, and decorating and was a member of Jordon Grove Missionary Baptist where she was a member of the JGMBC Adult Choir. She is predeceased by her mother, Katherine Stubbs Hunter, father, Morris Hunter, husband Rev. Wilbert Lee James, Sr., daughter, Maj. P. Ann James Lloyd, Ph D, and son,
Tommie David James, Sr.

Shelly Caldwell James of Miami, FL, Diane James Horne of Sandy Springs, GA, and LaFevert Tyrone Finkley; siblings, Lee Hunter, Booker T. Hunter, Joseph Hunter, and Betty Hunter; grandchildren, Shemika Gourdine, LaSheika Gourdine Rolle,
LaToya Parker, JaSheika and JaNeika James, Nicole and Raynae Lloyd, Fatiah Caldwell James, Ceasor Horne, III, Shawne Rhea Horne, Jerrell Parker, Julian James, Tommie David James, Jr., Tyson J. Finkley; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at
May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville, GA. The Interment ceremony will be private.
