Mr. Forrest Eugene Bridges Jr., age 75, of Gwendolyn Street in Sandersville, died Thursday, July 3, 2008 at his residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 6th at 2:00pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Brownwood Cemetery. Rev. L.T. Logue will officiate. Pallbearers will be Prine Anglin, Eric Reynolds, Ashley Bridges, Tracy Marn, Wonnie McCoy and Allen Reynolds.
Mr. Bridges was born in Laurens County the son of the late Forrest Eugene Bridges Sr. and the late Esta Mae Slaughter Bridges. Forrest formerly worked for Superior Laundry in Dublin before moving to Sandersville in 1969 to Own and Operate the Kleen-It Dry Cleaners from which he retired. Mr. Bridges was a member of the Montrose Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He is predeceased by his wife Marlene Morrman Bridges.
Survivors are his children Sue B. Anglin (Rudy) of Davisboro, Pat B. Pulliam (Glenn) of Sandersville, David Bridges of Sandersville, and Geri Bridges and her friend Tracy Marn also of Sandersville, his long time companion Lois Rikard Crapps of Sandersville, grandchildren, Sunshine Anglin, Prine Anglin (Shannon), Eric Reynolds, Casey Reynolds, and Ashley Bridges (Juli), and great grandchildren, Elijah Baucom, Cody Baucom, Coleman Hierholzer, Reagan Reynolds, Drew Anglin, and Gabe Anglin.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 to 6pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
