Foster Sebren Goff, Jr.

Funeral services for Foster Sebren Goff, Jr., age 80, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 30, 2023, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. Stan Littleton officiating. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Goff was born on March 3, 1943, in Tifton, Georgia to Foster and Dorothy Goff. Born the oldest of six, Foster, nicknamed Polly by his Grandma, was a natural caretaker and learned to be a strong provider at an early age.

Foster was a lifelong learner who excelled in academics. He put himself through college, earning his Bachelors, Masters, and Specialist degrees. After serving in the United States Air Force, Foster continued his love for learning through a career in higher education.

Foster shared a wonderful life full of travel and adventure with his wife, Faye. They lived life to the fullest and loved to cook for family, RV throughout North America, and visit local yard sales or the occasional antique car show every Saturday morning.

Foster was also a loving girl dad who helped raise three daughters. His love for family was unsurpassed, but his friendships were a close second. A founding member of the Dudley Men’s Coffee Club, he often doled out advice, both solicited and unsolicited, and could always be found with a warm smile and a helping hand.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Meyers Goff; daughter, Alison Goff Passmore; and son-in-law, Randy Passmore. Mr. Goff passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Piedmont Healthcare in Macon, Georgia.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Bryant Goff; 2 daughters, Alisia Cosson (Brian) and Ashley Garin (Wes); 2 stepsons, Mike Bryant (Marsha) and Roger Bryant (Vonda); brother, Coy Goff (Carlene) sister, Lorna Fritts, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. on Monday at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to the home of Roger and Vonda Bryant at 2142 GA HWY 26, Montrose, GA to visit prior to Monday.

Pallbearers will be Juan Huttoe, Tom Williams, Harry McAlum, Ben Smith, Brian Smith, Brandon Smith, Hall Killen, Wesley Prince, Zach Bryant and Austin Bryant.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
