Frances Eubanks Cooper

Mrs. Frances Eubanks Cooper, age 88, of Oconee, died Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Oconee Nursing Home following an extended illness. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 2nd at 2:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Bay Springs Cemetery in Oconee. Reverends Emory Anderson and Ralph Lumley will officiate. Pallbearers will be Otis Wiggins, Bryan Johnson, Glyn Brantley and Joel Cochran.

Mrs. Cooper was born in Washington County the daughter of the late Charles Columbus Eubanks and the late Annie Bell Whited Eubanks. She was a homemaker and a member of the Oconee Church of God. Mrs. Cooper was an avid reader and loved to travel. Some of her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She is predeceased by her husband, Eugene Lamar Cooper and her daughter Linda Eubanks.

Mrs. Cooper is survived by her children, Michael Cooper of Oconee, David Cooper and his wife Gayl of Pensacola FL, Larry James Cooper and his wife Risë Brantley and Robin C. Conger and her husband Alan all of Oconee, 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

The family will be at the Conger residence on N. Brown Street in Oconee and they will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville.
