Frances Daniel Dollar

Mrs. Frances Daniel Dollar, age 87, of 426 Morningside Drive in Sandersville died Monday, June 24, 2013, in the Heritage Inn Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 27th, in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville. Rev. Dewey Henderson and Rev. Scott McDade will officiate with burial in the Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. Pallbearers will be Jody Evans, Michael Dollar, Mike Binnenger, Shaun Hall, Chet Daniel and Curtis Daniel.

Mrs. Dollar was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late Chester Arthur Daniel and the late Willie Kate Brookins Daniel. She was the wife of the late Van B. Dollar, Sr. She was predeceased by a sister, Eugenia Shirley and two brothers, Thomas Daniel and Forace Daniel. Mrs. Dollar was a former credit manager for Sears of Sandersville and a bookkeeper for the Sandersville Housing Authority. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sandersville and a life member of the American Legion.

Survivors are: a son, Van B. Dollar, Jr. and his wife Jan of Duluth; four grandchildren, David Dollar and his wife Crystal, Chris Dollar and his wife Mary, Daniel Dollar and Kayse Richards; five great-grandchildren, Camdyn Dollar, Ellie Dollar, Mollie Snell, Jacey Snell and Kaden Dollar; a special niece, Vicki Hall; three brothers, W. C. Daniel and his wife Marilyn, Horace Daniel and his wife Ann and Charles Daniels and his wife Connie all of Sandersville; and two sisters-in-law, Iola Daniel and Yvonne Daniel James both of Sandersville.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday.
