Frances Brantley Hamby

Frances Brantley Hamby, 89, formerly of Hapeville, died Monday, February 16, 2015.

Frances was a retired Underwriter for Liberty Mutual Life Insurance Company, with 36 years of service, and was, until recently, an active member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Atlanta.

She is survived by her children, David & Deborah Hamby, Linda & Wade Harris, Gordon & Debi Hamby, and Buddy & Loraine Hamby; a brother-in-law, Marion Cooper; grandchildren, Deborah, Melissa, Angela, William, Rosemary, Adam, Brad, Amy, and Eric; 21 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 19th, at Rutherford Cemetery in Oconee, GA, with Reverend Randy Strickland officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 2840 Metropolitan Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30315. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. at Donehoo-Lewis Funeral Home, Hapeville.
