Mrs. Frances Hattaway Hyman, age 87, of Sparta died on Monday, March 28 in an Augusta hospital following an extended illness.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday March 31 at the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery. Reverend Darrell McGinnis will officiate. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Mrs. Hyman was a native and life long resident of Hancock County, the daughter of the late Elisha Hattaway and the late Idalene Dunn Hattaway. She was the wife of the late Frank Brantley Hyman. Mrs. Hyman was a retired supervisor for the Sparta Garment Company and a homemaker. She was a member of the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church.
Survivors are her children, Bobby Hyman and his wife Pam of Rome, Ann H. Wilson and her husband Wade of Sparta, Faye H. Riner and her husband Russell of Sandersville, Kaye H. Jackson and her husband Stan of Crawfordville and Susan H. Haywood and her husband Allen of Sparta, twelve grandchildren, Josilyn W. Donnelley, Dawn W. Brake, Alisha Head, Matthew Hyman, Ellen w. Boyer, Luke Jackson, Nathan Riner, April J. Powell, Adam Hyman, Nick Riner, Amanda Jackson and Kaylee Riner, nine great grandchildren, and a sister, Patsy Dalton of Eatonton.
The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday.
