Frances Strickland Register

Mrs. Frances Strickland Register, age 87, of Davisboro, died on Saturday, January 2, 2021 in an Augusta hospital following a brief illness. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 5 in Davisboro Cemetery.

Mrs. Register was a native of Oglethorpe County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Noah Lovie Strickland and the late Gussie Smith Strickland.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Katie S. Compton, children, David Register, Joseph Register and Jimmy Register and a granddaughter, Wendy Jo Register.  She was the wife of the late Walter Dykes Register, Sr.  Mrs. Register was a former certified nursing assistant and a homemaker.  She was a member of Davisboro Methodist Church.

Survivors are her children, Nancy Register Tingle of Tennille, Jack Register of Davisboro, Tommy Register of Seattle WA, Kenny Register and his wife Barbara of Greenwood SC, Tim Register and his wife Barbara of Van Cleve MS, Walter Register, Jr. of Opelika AL, Christopher Register and his wife Christina of Mountain Park NC.;  twenty one grandchildren and many great grandchildren and a sister, Grace Yancey of Eastman.

May and Smith Funeral Directors in Sandersville is in charge of the arrangements.
