Ms. Frances Dargo Votipka, age 88, of Sandersville, passed away following an extended illness, Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Washington County Extended Care Facility. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, September 15th at 2:00 p.m., at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Stacey Williford will officiate. Her family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Ms. Votipka was born in San Diego CA., and reared in Kansas City MO. She married early in life and made her home in Claycomo MO. where she was a homemaker. She later resided in Texas, prior to moving to Sandersville Georgia, in 1990 to be near family. Frances worked as a childcare provider at Playhouse Nursery and was a former member of the Kaolin Church of God. She loved crocheting, knitting, cooking and most of all, caring for grandchildren. She is predeceased by her mother, Wilma Boyd Smith and children, David Votipka, Gary Votipka and Carl Votipka.
Survivors include her children, Glenn Votipka and his wife Peggy of South Carolina, Teresa V. Nolan and her husband Tim of Macon, Cindy Sills and her husband Don of Arizona; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; and daughters-in-law, Winona Votipka, Barbara Votipkia and Gwen Duvall.
