Francine Welch Wicker

Mrs. Francine Welch Wicker, age 80, of Sandersville, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the Heritage Inn Nursing Home following an extended illness. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 4th at 3:00 p.m. at the White Oak Church with burial in the church cemetery. Reverends Dewey Henderson, Bobby Williford and Jimmy Harris will officiate. Pallbearers will be Johnny Welch, Gene Welch, Richard Welch, Gerald Lord, Christopher Williford and Thomas Todd.

Mrs. Wicker was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County the daughter of the late Gladys Rupert Welch and the late Daisy Lois Frazier Welch. She worked and a retail clerk at Peachtree Salvage Company and she also formerly worked for Royal Manufacturing, Walmart and the Gibson Nursing Home. Her husband, James Clyde Wicker and her son, Wilbur Williford both predecease her.

Survivors are her son, Jay Williford and his wife Kim of Sandersville; grandchildren, Christopher Williford and his wife Tarrah, Brandon Williford and his wife Jamie all of Sandersville, Angel Todd and her husband Thomas of Americus and Stephanie Marshall of Sandersville; ten great-grandchildren; and her brother, Douglas Welch and his wife Charlotte of Sandersville.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 3:00 p.m. at the White Oak Church.
