Franklin George Waters

Mr. Franklin George Waters, age 87, of Warthen, died on Friday, November 6 , 2020 at Heritage Inn following an extended illness. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 8 in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville. Pastor Weston Williford will officiate.

Mr. Waters was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the son of the late Walker Crooms and the late Lola Bell Crooms.  He was the husband of the late Marie Lewis Water and was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Waters and a grandson, Adam Russell.  Mr. Waters was a supervisor for Washington Manufacturing Company for over thirty years and the retired owner of Franklin Waters Drilling company. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors are his children, Buddy Waters, Dean Waters and Donnie Waters all of Tennille, Ronnie Waters and his wife Cheryl of Warthen and Teresa W. Williford and her husband Billy of Tennille; grandchildren, Jeff Waters, Ron Waters, Rhonda Todd, B. J. Waters, Dana Waters, Brad Crook, Dexter Waters, Daniel Waters, Stacey Smith, Brittany Williford and Dalton Williford; fourteen great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
