Fred Arnold

Mr. Fred Arnold, age 98, of Eastman died Saturday, April 16, 2022.
Funeral services will be at 11:00am, Thursday, April 21 at Eastman First United Methodist Church with Rev. Graton Helms and Dr. Ted Goshorn officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 pm in Davisboro City Cemetery in Davisboro, GA.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at Hardy-Towns Funeral Home.
Mr. Arnold was born July 5, 1923 in Davisboro, GA to the late Lewise Cheatham and Fred Arnold, Sr. He was a member of Eastman First United Methodist Church and Tom Oliver Sunday School class. He was retired from Standard Candy Co, formerly Stuckey’s Candy Company. He was in the U.S. Navy and World War II veteran. Mr. Arnold was this year’s recipient of the Eastman Chamber of Commerce’s “Distinguished Citizen of the Year”.
Mr. Arnold is survived by his children, Hazel Dunbar (Bob), Susan Arnold (David Waldrep), Lewis Arnold, and Paul Arnold; grandchildren, Rob Dunbar (Melanie), Sarah Brooks, Thomas Dunbar (Luna), Amy Chambers (Alex), John Waldrep (Laura), Nicole Harris (Brandon), Emma Arnold, David Arnold (Hannah), Taylor Arnold (Savannah), Zachery Arnold, Sunnie Arnold; 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by wives, Lily, Joanne and Lene Arnold, and son, Frank Arnold.
